Kada ste dugo na putu (duže od klasičnog letovanja od desetak dana) postane vam bitno šta ćete i gde jesti. Hvatate cake lokalaca i trudite se da probate najbolju hranu koju nude. Ok, slažemo se da je uvek provereno jesti u restoranima sa pet zvezdica. Ipak, oni, kao i lanci brze hrane (Mek, KFC, Pizza hut…) imaju klasičan, očekivani ukus. Sa druge strane lokalni restorani nude mnogo bolji čulni užitak. Kada jednom zagazite u taj svet shvatate da kao i u Srbiji nikakvih 5 zvezdica ne može da zameni dobru pljesku, jel da? ♥

Tako smo jednom prilikom dok smo večerali u restoranu Mangalevi, u Antaliji probali ovaj predivan, letnji dezert, griz sa sladoledom.

SASTOJCI:

  • 1 šolja griza
  • 4 kašike putera
  • 1 šoljica žutog šećera
  • 4 kašike samlevenih pinjola (pinjoli idu po originalnom receptu, ali možete staviti orahe, badem ili lešnik)
  • 1 šolja mleka
  • 1 šolja vode
  • 1 vanilin šećer / štapić

 

♦ U mali tiganj sipajte mleko i vodu pa dodajte šećer i vanilu. Na srednjoj temperaturi sačekajte da se šećer istopi. Povećajte temperaturu i sačekajte da provri.

♦ Puter i pinjole (orahe, bademe ili lešnik) mešajte na laganoj vatri u drugom sudu nekoliko minuta, zatim dodajte griz i mešajte dok ne porumeni.

♦ Pažljivo dodajte smesu mleka, šećera i vode

♦ Poklopite i ostavite na vatri dok griz ne pokupi svu tečnost.

♦ Skinite sa vatre i mešajte dok se smesa ne stegne, zatim poklopite šerpu i ostavite da se prohladi.

♦ Poslužiti toplo ili hladno sa sladoledom od vanile

When you’re on the road for a long time (more than two weeks, as summer holidays usually lasts) it gets you a bit important what you eat and where. You grip the tips and tricks from locals and try to taste the best food they offer. Okay, we agree that it is always checked to eat in restaurants with five stars. However, they are like fast food chains (Mac, KFC, Pizza Hut …) just classic, the expected boring taste. On the other hand local restaurants offer a much better sensory enjoyment. Once you step into this world understand that as in Serbia any 5 star can not substitute for a good burger, right? ♥

Once while we were having dinner in a restaurant Mangalevi, in Antalya tried this beautiful, summer dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cupSugar
  • 4 tbsp Pine nut (you can use nuts, hazelnuts or almonds)
  • 1 cupMilk
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 vanilla stick

 

♦ Put the milk, water and sugar in a small saucepan and stir on a medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Bring it to boil and remove from heat.

♦ Put the butter and pine nuts (or nuts, hazelnuts or almonds)  in a large saucepan and stir on low heat for few minutes. Add the semolina and stir until golden brown in color.

♦ Add the milk mixture very carefully, heat may splash it around.

♦ Cover the saucepan and cook on a low heat until the milk mixture is totally soaked into the semolina.Turn the heat off and continue to stir for few minutes until the halva settles.

♦ Let the mixture cool down in the covered saucepan.

♦ Serve with vanilla ice cream.
