Lefkara, bajkovito selo na obroncima Trodos planine, proglašeno je za jedno od 30 najlepših sela Evrope.
Uputili smo se ka njemu da istražimo da li je to istina. Do Lefkare se lako stiže gradskim autobusom, taksijem, autom… Ukoliko ste u poseti Kipru, ovo mesto nikako ne smete da preskočite. Naš savet vam je da izbegnete organizovane ekskurzije do ovog mesta i da se sami upustite u upoznavanje ulica ovog sela.
Lefkara je mesto na kome se prepliću čipka, religija, srebro i veoma prijatni ljudi. Nismo ni stigli da se zahvalimo čoveku koji nam je pomogao da pronađemo pravi autobus, a već su nas na izlasku iz istog sačekali prijatni meštani sa čašama hladnog soka od limuna. Dali su nam mapu i pokazali sve što bi trebalo videti, a čime se njihovo selo ponosi. I tako smo krenuli u avanturu sa klasičnom domaćom kafom. Zatim smo krenuli u istraživanje ovih divih malih uličica, koje se prepliću i završavaju tamo gde niko ne bi očekivao. Dopustite sebi, ukoliko ikad posetite Kipar, da se izgubite u ovim šarmantnim ulicama. Tek tada ćete shvatiti zašto je ovo selo jedno od najlepših. Videćete mnogo malih crkava, mnogo cveća, nasmejanih lica… Videćete otvorena vrata domova… Stariji će vas rado upoznati sa slikama cele familije… Videćete kako oblikuju figure od srebra… Videćete meštanke kako vezu ispred svojih kuća… Videćete mnoštvo šarenih prozora i vrata i veoma brzo ćete se osetiti kao da ste oduvek živeli tu i kao da vam je sve od nekud poznato. Lefkara, fairytale village on the slopes of the Troodos mountains, has been declared as one of the 30 most beautiful villages of Europe.
We headed toward it to investigate whether it is true. LEFKARA can be easily reached by public bus, taxi, car … If you are visiting Cyprus this place you should not skip. Our advice is to avoid the organized excursions to this place and to organize by yourself and get to know _ Lefkara streets alone or with a company of people you love.
Lefkara, is a place where intertwine lace, religion, silver and very nice people. We have not even had a chance to thank the man who helped us find the right bus, and already we were coming out of the same waited by friendly locals with cold glasses of lemon juice. They gave us a map and showed everything that should be seen, and thus their village is proud. And so we set off on an adventure with classic homemade coffee. Then we started to explore these bright small streets that intertwine and end up where nobody would expect. Allow yourself, if you ever go to Cyprus to get lost in this charming streets. Only then will you understand why this village is one of the most beautiful. You’ll see a lot of small churches, many flowers, smiling faces … You’ll see a lot of home doors open … Older homes will gladly meet you with pictures of the whole family … You’ll see how they shape the pieces of silver … You’ll see local women how weave in front of their house .. . you’ll see a multitude of colorful windows and doors, and very quickly you’ll feel like you’ve always lived there and lt will seems like it is all familiar from somewhere .
